Building work changes. Your access needs to keep up.
An extension or new build rarely needs the same access from start to finish. Brickwork goes up, the roof takes shape, and different trades need to reach different parts of the building.
Green Scaffolding Group provides scaffolding for extensions and new builds across North Wales. Tell us what you’re building, how the work is scheduled and who needs access. We’ll assess the site and quote for scaffolding planned around the project.
Working platforms can provide access as walls rise and the building takes shape.
The roofline, working height and areas your roofers need to reach all affect how the scaffold is planned.
Rendering, cladding, windows, gutters and other finishing work may need access after the main structure is complete.
If several trades will use the scaffold, let us know at the outset so their access needs can be considered together.
Featured Project: Residential Development in Menai Bridge
Scaffolding beside a busy road needs careful planning. For this residential development in Menai Bridge, our team installed a three-lift scaffold to give trades safe access for external work.
With the scaffold directly alongside the road, pedestrian access and passing traffic were part of the plan from the start. It’s an example of how we adapt the scaffold to the building, the work and the people using the area around it.
1
Tell us about the work
Let us know what you’re having done, where your property is and when you expect the work to start. Photos are helpful, especially if access is tight or part of the property is difficult to see from the road.
2
We assess what's needed
We’ll look at the areas your tradespeople need to reach and any practical details that could affect the scaffold, such as a conservatory, extension or limited access.
3
We provide a quote
You’ll receive a quote for the scaffolding needed for your project. If you’re unsure what to ask for, that’s fine, tell us what work is planned and we can talk it through with you.
4
We install and remove the scaffold
Our team will arrange installation around your project and return to take the scaffold down when it’s no longer needed.
Extensions beside an occupied home
When an extension is being built, the rest of the home may still be in use. There may be a conservatory, narrow side passage or garden access to consider alongside the building work.
Tell us which areas need to remain accessible for the household and your team. We’ll take the layout of the property into account when assessing the scaffold.
Questions homeowners often ask
How much does domestic scaffolding cost?
The cost depends on the size and height of the property, access requirements, scaffold design and expected hire period. Contact our team for a quotation tailored to your project.
How long can scaffolding stay in place?
Scaffolding can remain in place for the agreed hire period. The required timescale will depend on your project, and we can discuss extensions if the work takes longer than expected.
Can you provide scaffolding for chimney repairs?
Yes. We provide safe working platforms for chimney repairs, repointing, maintenance and removal, with each scaffold designed around the property and work required.
Do you provide scaffolding for solar panel installations?
Yes. We regularly provide domestic scaffolding for solar panel installations across North Wales, giving installers safe and practical access to the roof.
Can scaffolding be erected around a conservatory or extension?
In many cases, yes. Properties with conservatories, extensions or restricted access need to be assessed individually so that an appropriate and safe scaffolding solution can be planned.
Does domestic scaffolding require planning permission?
Scaffolding erected entirely on private property will not normally require planning permission. If it needs to occupy a pavement or public highway, permission or a licence from the relevant local authority may be required. We can advise you based on the location of your project.
